We participate in the Ayur-Phal project which has been set up by Pukka Herbs in collaboration with an organic farming enterprise called Phalada Agro in central South-Western India. The project undertakes the reconstruction of a small, rundown school in a remote area of western Karnataka. The aim of the project is to generate a regular income for the school from growing organically certified herbs, to improve education and establish an Ayurvedic treatment clinic at the school to care for the children’s health.
By helping to establish a small organic herb farm, we enable the school to earn a permanent income which they will manage on their own.
We will donate 1% of our business volume to the project in addition to Pukka Herbs England’s donation of 0.10 US$ for every kilo of herbs that is supplied by Phalada Agro. We currently purchase over 35 tonnes of herbs per annum.
